You might be surprised to find out that this is a question your parents ask of themselves sometimes too. I think one of the things most of us want to know is if we are doing "okay." We want to know where we stand in the eyes of the Lord. That's really what you're asking. And it's an important question to ask. And actually, just asking the question might be evidence you are on the right track.
One of my favorite scriptures in the Doctrine and Covenants is when the Lord is speaking to Oliver Cowdery, who perhaps was asking a similar question. The Lord tells Oliver, "Blessed art thou for what thou hast done; for thou hast inquired of me, and behold, as often as thou hast inquired thou hast received instruction of my Spirit. If it had not been so, thou wouldst not have come to the place where thou art at this time" (D&C 6:14).
Isn't that great? The Lord is praising Oliver for even asking. Then the Lord tells Oliver that when Oliver asks, the Spirit teaches him and leads him where he needs to be. The Lord does that for you too!
I can't tell you that you are on the right track. I can't tell you how you are doing in the eyes of the Lord, though I have my suspicions that you are doing great! But you should know that just asking the question is getting you on the right track. Take the question to your Father in Heaven. I f you do, I trust that, just like he did with Oliver, God will bless you with the answer... just because you asked.
